MEIN WEG ZUR STÄRKE

Sometimes a story doesn’t begin with a big plan – but with a decision: Now is my time.

My name is Jasmine Leskien, I was born in 1958, and I have taken on many roles in my life – mother, educator, volunteer, creative, friend. But the role that surprises many today is: Athlete.

My athletic journey did not begin in childhood, not in a club, and not with medals. It began late – and with curiosity. I had always been active: dancing Rock’n’Roll and Discofox, practicing Taekwondo, working out in the gym. But it was only when I discovered CrossFit that movement became something deeper for me: an expression of self-determination, strength, and joy for life.

In June 2025, I took part in a German Functional Fitness Championship for the first time – at the age of 67, in the 60+ age category. I placed fourth, but that was beside the point. What mattered was the moment: standing on the competition floor, as a “senior,” as a woman, as a fighter – that was my victory.

This achievement did not go unnoticed: I was nominated for Team Germany and will compete in the November 2025 iF3 Masters World Championship in Brisbane. Me? In Australia? On the national team?

Yes. And that’s exactly what I want to show: It’s never too late to reinvent yourself.

MY MOTIVATION
WHY I DO ALL THIS
Bild 1

I have done many things in my life – as a mother, educator, creative soul, woman, friend, contributor, and volunteer. I have given a lot, carried a lot, moved a lot. But never for myself. Never from the deep desire to see what I am capable of – physically, mentally, emotionally.

My Goals

I have a goal. And it’s bigger than a ranking.
I want to be a role model – for people who believe it’s too late. Too old. Too hard. Too inconvenient. I am 67 years old and competing as part of the German national team at the 2025 iF3 Masters World Championship in Brisbane. And I’m far from done.

My Athletic Goal

I don’t just want to compete there – I want to be competitive. I am training for an international competition at the highest level, against the best athletes in my age group worldwide. It’s not about records, but about performance, precision, endurance, and mental strength. Every day, I work on improving my technique, strengthening my weaknesses, and laying the foundation for my performance in Australia with every training session.

My Personal Goal

I want to show that the body is not a limitation, but a tool. A tool for self-confidence, vitality, and joy of life – at any age. Fitness, for me, is not a trend but a mindset: discipline, curiosity, dedication. I want to inspire – not through perfection, but through authenticity.

My Communication Goal

I want to share my journey publicly. I want to reach people who have forgotten themselves because everyday life became louder than their own voice. Whether on social media, in conversations with other athletes, or on stage: I tell my story – and show what is possible when you believe in yourself.

The Road to It

My training plan is structured, periodized, and guided by experienced coaches. I complement my training with nutrition, rest, and targeted recovery. I regularly document my progress and am already working on formats to share my story digitally – authentically, professionally, and effectively.

What I Need

Support. A strong network. People and brands who share my vision. Who recognize that this is about more than just sports. It’s about a shift in thinking. A new image of aging. And about inspiring courage – not just with words, but through action.

If you would like to accompany me on this journey – as a sponsor, partner, or supporter – I warmly invite you to get in touch with me.
